AIRLYNX HELPS LOCAL ICE HOCKEY TEAM TO FIGHT PROSTATE CANCER

The Basingstoke Buffalo ice hockey team will be taking on Guildford in the NIHL2 league on the 3rd March 2018. The Buffalo will be icing in special jerseys for the whole of March. This is to support the fight as prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Over 47,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that’s 129 men every day. In three periods of Ice Hockey two men die from prostate cancer – that’s more than 11,000 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. That could be 3 players on each team. Over 330,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer. This is a fact very close to many of the players and coaching staff. These amazing jerseys have been kindly sponsored by Steve and Paula Brookwell at Airlynx and will then be auctioned off in April. All the money raised will be going to Prostate Cancer UK.
